AYNP's mission is to connect, empower, and develop young professionals in the East TN nonprofit sector through opportunities in career development, networking, and community engagement. AYNP offers an opportunity to network with peers, learn about nonprofit trends, and develop a voice for their generation in the nonprofit sector.
The AYNP Council (comprised of the executive committee, ABN staff, and other community volunteers) will be scheduling programming once a month, with content specific to young nonprofit professionals in our region. Activities will include lunch & learns, special speakers, service learning projects, casual happy hours, and group recreation activities. Watch for upcoming events to be announced on the AYNP Facebook Page.
Past activities have included: an open dialogue with City of Knoxville Mayor Madeline Rogero and Knox County Mayor Tim Burchett; site visits to Zoo Knoxville and Ijams Nature Center; yoga and happy hour; speed networking; special speakers on the topics of leadership, volunteerism, presentation skills and communication styles; a friendsgiving potluck; fireside chats and more.
